Beatbot's pool robots: all cordless, most surface by themselves

Every Beatbot is cordless and every one but the original AquaSense lifts itself out of the water when it is done. The AquaSense 2 Ultra is the flagship: floor, walls, waterline and the surface, rated for 360 m², a 150 µm filter, camera and sonar navigation and a dock. The AquaSense X covers the same four zones with camera navigation and a dock, but Beatbot publishes neither its pool size nor its filter fineness. The Sora line navigates by ultrasound and states a 300-minute runtime: the Sora 70 skims the surface as well, the Sora 10 and Sora 30 stop at the waterline, all three rated for 300 m². The AquaSense 2 and the original AquaSense are the older floor, wall and waterline cleaners, the AquaSense rated for 210 m² and the only Beatbot that neither returns to the edge nor lifts itself out.

What to check before buying a Beatbot

  • The surface. Only the AquaSense 2 Ultra, the AquaSense X and the Sora 70 skim it; the rest clean the floor, walls and waterline.
  • Getting it out. Every model except the original AquaSense returns to the edge and lifts itself out; only the AquaSense 2 Ultra and the AquaSense X have a dock.
  • Pool size. 360 m² on the AquaSense 2 Ultra, 300 on the Sora line and the AquaSense 2, 210 on the AquaSense; Beatbot publishes no figure for the AquaSense X.
  • Filter and pump. 150 µm where Beatbot states a filter (the AquaSense 2 Ultra, the Sora 10 and 70, the AquaSense); 25,740 l/h on the Sora line against 20,820 on the AquaSense models.
  • Runtime. Stated only for the Sora 10 and Sora 70, 300 minutes; the AquaSense models publish none.

The rankings this hub draws on: best robot pool cleaners for large pools, for walls and the waterline, for fine debris, hands-off and best value. Every score is computed as described in how we score.
