Who controls your data

The short version

There are no accounts, nothing is sold here, and we never ask you for personal information. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not sell data.

We store one technical cookie remembering your language, and — only with your consent — aggregate visit statistics. Clicks on retailer links are counted in aggregate, never attached to a person.

What we process

In practice, three things:

• A language cookie (rv_locale) recording whether you chose the English or Polish edition, so the automatic redirect cannot override your decision. Valid for 12 months. It contains no personal data.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request logs (IP address, time, page, browser type), used solely to keep the site available and secure.
• Visit statistics. With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to see in aggregate which pages are read and which content is useful.

Commercial clicks

We record which product and retailer a commercial click concerned, and which page it came from, so we can tell which content actually helps readers.

No personal data is attached to those events — no IP address, no name, no advertising identifier.

The retailers and affiliate networks we link to set their own cookies under their own privacy policies. Once you land on their site, their rules apply, not ours.

Legal bases

The language cookie and server logs are processed under our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Visit statistics are processed solely on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before it.

Who receives data

We use processors acting on our behalf: our hosting provider and, once consent is given, our analytics provider.

Some are established outside the European Economic Area, principally in the United States. Those transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or on an adequacy decision.

We do not sell data and do not share it with data brokers or advertising networks.

How long we keep it

Language cookie: 12 months from your last visit. Server logs: per our host's policy, typically 30 days. Visit statistics: up to 14 months.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to data portability.

You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Poland, the Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych (https://uodo.gov.pl).

Changes

This version takes effect on 2026-09-08. Material changes will be announced on the site.
