Ecovacs' WINBOTs: OMNI with a station, PRO on a cable

Ecovacs is the only maker with a whole window-robot range in our catalogue, and the models differ mostly in suction and in how they are powered. The WINBOT W2S OMNI and the W2S PRO OMNI run from a station with its own battery, so the 5.5 m cable is to the station rather than a socket: 8,000 and 10,000 Pa of suction, an 80 and a 120 ml tank for about 50 and 75 m² per fill, corner cleaning and 110 minutes of runtime. The W2 PRO OMNI is the earlier OMNI at 5,500 Pa, and the W2 PRO the same robot on a plain 5.5 m cable at 5,300 Pa, both cleaning about 40 m² per 60 ml fill. The WINBOT MINI is the small one: 7,500 Pa, a 3.5 m cable, 25 m² per fill and a minimum pane of 22 by 25 cm, where the others need 30 by 40.

What to check before buying a WINBOT

  • Power. The OMNI models carry their own battery in the station and state 110 minutes; the W2 PRO and the MINI hang on a cable, 5.5 and 3.5 m long.
  • Safety. Every WINBOT holds on for 30 minutes after a power cut and detects the pane edge, so frameless glass is fine.
  • Pane size. Ecovacs publishes the smallest pane each model handles, 22 by 25 cm for the MINI and 30 by 40 for the rest, but no largest pane; our tables say so.
  • Corners. Only the W2S OMNI and the W2S PRO OMNI state corner cleaning.
  • Noise. 63 dB on the W2 PRO, the W2 PRO OMNI and the MINI, 66 on the W2S PRO OMNI and 68 on the W2S OMNI.
