Our verdict
The W3 OMNI is the first Winbot whose station does more than hold the robot. Vortex Wash scrubs the pads inside the 10 kg base with 16 jets and four discs at 200 rpm, about a minute per wash, so you never handle a dirty cloth. The robot moves at 16 cm/s, the fastest figure Ecovacs has published, plans with WIN-SLAM 5.0, steers round obstacles from 1 mm, resumes after an interruption and returns to its start. A TruEdge scrubber drops at the frame and spins at up to 200 rpm into the corners, and six nozzles wet 50 m² of glass from one 80 ml fill. The Canadian spec list prints a peak of 10,000 Pa with 3,300 Pa on the move, and the US copy repeats the 10,000 Pa; the German copy quotes 8,000 Pa in its fall-protection list. The station's 9,000 mAh battery runs 130 minutes, about 120 m² in fast mode, its primary rope is rated to 100 kg, the suction cup to over 800 N, and the robot keeps its grip for 30 minutes if the power fails. The cost is 2.1 kg on the glass, 68 dB and no stated maximum pane.
Pros
- Vortex Wash: the station cleans the pads itself in about a minute
- 16 cm/s on a WIN-SLAM 5.0 route with resume, return to start and obstacle avoidance from 1 mm
- TruEdge corner scrubber at 200 rpm; 80 ml tank for 50 m² a fill
- 130 minutes from the station battery, rope rated to 100 kg, 30-minute power-cut reserve
- Voice prompts in 11+ languages, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, omnidirectional app control
Cons
- 2.1 kg on the glass, the heaviest Winbot alongside the W2S PRO OMNI
- 68 dB, level with the W2S OMNI as the loudest Winbot
- The German copy's fall-protection list prints 8,000 Pa where the US copy and the Canadian spec list print 10,000 Pa
- A 10 kg station to carry; no maximum pane size stated
Best for
- Households with many windows who want the pads washed for them
- Balconies and rooms without a socket, with glass that needs the corners done
Not recommended for
- A flat with a few small panes, where the mini 2 does the job for far less
- Anyone who wants a light robot to lift onto the glass

In detail
Cleaning
It sprays water from a 80 ml tank and cleans about 50 m² per fill. It moves at 16 cm/s. It has 7 cleaning modes. It reaches into corners.
Grip and fit
Suction of 10,000 Pa keeps it on the glass, with pressure compensation. It detects the pane edge, so frameless glass is fine.
Safety
After a power cut it holds on for 30 minutes. A safety rope is included, rated for 100 kg.
Navigation and control
It plans its path, resumes after an interruption, returns to where it started and steers round obstacles. It comes with a remote. It gives voice prompts. It runs cordless.

Where to buy
Prices are read every night from the manufacturers' shops that list the machine, and shown as read. A price no read has confirmed for several days is marked with the day it was last seen. Where a week or more of readings exists, the lowest we recorded in the last 30 days is stated as well. RoboVerdict may earn a commission when you buy through links on our site.
