Our verdict

The OMNI in the name is a 5.5 kg station with a 4,500 mAh battery, an auto-winding 5.5 m composite cable that carries power and the safety rope in one, a control panel and a carry handle. It changes where the robot can work: a balcony, a stairwell, a bathroom with no socket, for 110 minutes on the battery, or plugged in for as long as you like. The station also anchors the machine with a suction cup Ecovacs rates at over 800 N. The robot itself is the W2 PRO: six nozzles and a 60 ml tank good for 40 m², WIN-SLAM 4.0 route planning with resume and return-to-start, frame detection from 2 mm, an edge mode, omnidirectional app control and voice prompts in more than 11 languages, with suction a touch higher at 5,500 Pa and a 30-minute power-cut reserve. At 63 dB it is among the quietest here. The €150 over the W2 PRO at list buys freedom from the socket, not a better clean: the tank, the corners and the spray are unchanged.

Pros

  • Battery station: 110 minutes of cleaning with no socket, or mains power for longer
  • Auto-winding composite cable combining power and safety rope; station anchored at over 800 N
  • Planned route with resume and return to start, frame detection from 2 mm, edge mode
  • Pressure compensation, 30-minute power-cut reserve, voice prompts in 11+ languages
  • 1.6 kg and 63 dB

Cons

  • Same 60 ml tank and 40 m² per fill as the W2 PRO, and no corner claim
  • 5,500 Pa, well under the W2S models
  • Deep-cleaning mode covers about 22 m² on one battery charge
  • Ecovacs states no maximum pane size

Best for

  • Balconies, stairwells and rooms without a socket
  • Households cleaning windows in several places in one session

Not recommended for

  • Owners with a socket next to every window, for whom the W2 PRO does the same for €150 less
  • Very large panes, where 60 ml runs dry
