Our verdict

The MINI is the Winbot for the panes the others cannot get onto. At 215 mm square and 55 mm thick it fits glass as small as 22 by 25 cm, where every other machine here needs at least 30 by 40, and at 1.3 kg it weighs what the MOVA N1 does. Ecovacs gives it an ultrasonic atomiser that lays down a 10-micron mist from four nozzles rather than a spray, a 60 ml tank rated for 25 m², three cleaning modes on a WIN-SLAM 3.0 route that resumes and returns to start, frame detection from 3 mm, obstacle detection from 4 mm, and removable bumpers that let it reach 99.5% of the pane. Suction is a respectable 7,500 Pa in standard mode and 3,200 on the move, with a 30-minute reserve after a power cut on a 3,000 mAh internal battery, and it runs at 63 dB. It is corded: 3.5 m from the power unit plus a 1.2 m mains lead, with a 3.3 m rope. Ecovacs claims no pressure compensation and no corner work, and a square metre takes it about three minutes, the slowest figure Ecovacs publishes for any Winbot.

Pros

  • Fits panes from 22 × 25 cm, the smallest minimum in the category
  • 1.3 kg and 55 mm thick; 7,500 Pa with a 30-minute power-cut reserve
  • Ultrasonic 10-micron mist from four nozzles, 60 ml tank for 25 m²
  • Planned route with resume and return to start, 63 dB
  • The cheapest Winbot, with a two-year warranty

Cons

  • About three minutes per square metre, the slowest Winbot
  • Three modes only, no pressure compensation or corner claim
  • Corded: 3.5 m from the power unit plus a 1.2 m mains lead
  • Ecovacs states no maximum pane size

Best for

  • Small and narrow panes: muntin windows, bathroom glass, shower screens
  • A first window robot for a flat

Not recommended for

  • Large windows and patio doors, where 25 m² and three minutes a square metre add up
  • Rooms without a socket
