Our verdict
Dreame's C1 claims more than the N1 on paper and runs quieter, and it is rated for a bigger pane: 2.5 by 4 m against the N1's 2 by 3. It plans a Z or N route at 14 cm/s, picks up where it left off after an interruption, comes back to where you put it on, and its CornerClean corner brushes and elastic balls go after the corners a square cloth misses, which Dreame says raises corner coverage by 90%. The sustained vacuum is a modest 3,300 Pa, peaking at 5,500 Pa with compensation; the 5.5 m composite tether is rated to 140 kg; and it is rated for marble and tiles as well as glass. What Dreame does not say matters too: nothing about holding on after a power cut, nothing about a fault self-check, and no warranty term on the page. It costs a good deal more than the N1, and the Station S kit, sold separately, adds a battery station and a stronger motor.
