Our verdict
The X450 is the X4 with the battery to match its deck. Same chassis as the X420: four driven wheels on twin suspensions, eccentric front-wheel steering that Segway says spares the turf, an 84% slope rating, a 7 cm step, a 430 mm deck with two 180 W motors and twelve blades, network RTK fused with a 360° camera and no antenna to install. The difference is 15 Ah rather than 10, which turns 675 m² a charge into 1,300 and 450 m² an hour into 600, so Segway rates it for 5,000 m² in fifteen hours; the second year of cellular data is included too. The rest of the arithmetic is unchanged: 29.2 kg, 85 cm long, 68 dB, no passage width stated, and a price that only makes sense on a lawn that actually needs the second half of it.
Pros
- 1,300 m² and 130 minutes a charge from a 15 Ah battery; 600 m² an hour
- 84% slope rating on four-wheel drive with dual suspension, and a 7 cm vertical step
- 430 mm twin-disc deck, two 180 W motors, 20 to 95 mm cutting height
- Network RTK with a 360° camera, no antenna; 120 zones; two years of cellular data
- Rain sensor, IP66, GPS tracking and PIN, three-year warranty
Cons
- €700 over the X420 for a bigger battery and a year of data
- 29.2 kg and 85 cm long, no passage width stated
- 68 dB, the loudest Navimow
- No LiDAR: positioning needs satellites, with the camera as backup
Best for
- Open lawns from 3,000 to 5,000 m², sloped or rough
- Estates and paddocks where mowing hours per day matter
Not recommended for
- Anything under 2,500 m², where the X420 does the same job for less
- Wooded or enclosed plots
