Our verdict
Of the three LUBA 3 sizes this is the one where the hardware and the price line up best. Over the 1500 it adds the full positioning set, network RTK over the bundled 4G alongside the 70 m LiDAR and the two cameras, the 165 W cutting motors built for thick grass, a 12 Ah battery good for 175 minutes and 1,400 m² a charge with a 120-minute recharge, and 30 zones. What the 5000 adds beyond that is a bigger battery and more zones, nothing else. The chassis is the familiar LUBA 3: four driven wheels, 80% slopes, a 400 mm twin-disc deck cutting at 25 to 70 mm, rain detection, 19 kg, 70 cm passages, tracking and PIN lock, and a three-year warranty. The familiar limits stay too: no edge-cutting disc, 70 dB at work, and a network RTK that depends on Mammotion's iNavi service and its 4G coverage.

Navigation
It positions itself with RTK-GNSS + vision + LiDAR. No boundary wire is needed. Obstacles: camera + LiDAR fusion. GPS tracking and a 4G module are built in.
Cutting
The cutting width is 400 mm and the height adjusts from 25 to 70 mm. It cuts with 12 blades.
Battery, charging and noise
The 259 Wh battery runs up to 2 h 55 min on one charge. A full charge takes about 2 h. The manufacturer states 70 dB. That is higher than most of the 45 robot mowers with a published figure.
Safety and theft
It stops the blades when lifted or tilted, returns to the dock in rain, carries anti-theft protection and locks with a PIN. Weather sealing: IPX6.
