Our verdict
The X4 is the first Navimow built for ground that fights back. Four driven wheels on dual suspension, eccentric front-wheel steering that Segway says spares the turf, an 84% slope rating and a 7 cm vertical step; the 43 cm deck carries two discs, twelve blades and two 180 W motors. Positioning is network RTK fused with a 360° camera and visual odometry, no antenna needed. No LiDAR: the same camera handles obstacles with a ToF sensor and 200+ object types, and a rain sensor backs up the forecast. The X420 is the 2,000 m² version: a 10 Ah battery, 675 m² and 90 minutes a charge, 75 minutes to recharge, eight hours for the rated lawn, a year of cellular data included. It weighs 28.8 kg, is 85 cm long, runs at 68 dB and lists no passage width: a machine for open ground, not a cottage garden.

Navigation
It positions itself with RTK-GNSS + vision. No boundary wire is needed. Obstacles: 3D time-of-flight. GPS tracking and a 4G module are built in.
Cutting
The cutting width is 430 mm and the height adjusts from 20 to 95 mm. It cuts with 12 blades. It trims along the edges.
Battery, charging and noise
One charge runs up to 1 h 30 min. A full charge takes about 1 h 15 min. The manufacturer states 68 dB. That is higher than most of the 45 robot mowers with a published figure.
Safety and theft
It stops the blades when lifted or tilted, returns to the dock in rain, carries anti-theft protection and locks with a PIN. Weather sealing: IP66.
