Our verdict
The Saros 20 Sonic is the Saros 20 with a retractable LiDAR in place of the solid-state ToF array and a vibrating pad in place of two spinning discs. The motor is the same 36,000 Pa and the body the same 80 mm; the RetractSense turret lowers itself to pass under furniture, and the VibraRise 5.0 mop is a single extending pad pressed down at 14 N. Its cleverest trick is in the dock: the mop attachment comes off and is washed at 100 °C while the robot keeps vacuuming, then dried at 55 °C along with the dust bag and the dust path. Reactive AI 3.0 reads obstacles with a tri-laser pattern, an RGB camera and a side laser, and the AdaptiLift chassis climbs a 4.5 cm sill or an 8.8 cm double step. Roborock publishes 63 dB in mixed mode, 55 dB for mopping alone and a 150-minute charge, but no runtime, bin, tank, warranty term or mop lift height, and no carpet suction boost.
