Our verdict
The Q7 M5 answers one question: how little can a robot cost and still map properly. It navigates by LiDAR and remembers several floors, boosts suction on carpet, carries the same JawScrapers anti-tangle comb as its dearer siblings, and its 10,000 Pa is the figure the Q10 line quotes too; Roborock claims a 95% hair pick-up rate. Everything else is the minimum. The mop is a pad dragged behind the robot, fed by an electric tank with three flow levels and a DEEP+ mode, with no lift and no spin; the dock is a 160 × 70 × 101 mm charger; and there is no obstacle sensor of any kind, so a sock on the floor ends up in the brush. The 3,200 mAh battery takes three to four hours to charge, and Roborock gives no runtime, noise, bin or tank figure; the 3.3 kg on the page is for the product, not the robot alone. It is LiDAR mapping at the lowest price Roborock asks.

Suction and brushes
The manufacturer rates the suction at 10,000 Pa. That is less than most of the 114 robot vacuums we list. The main brush is the tangle-resistant type, with one side brush. On carpet the suction rises automatically.
Mopping
Mop system: static pad. The mop does not lift for carpet.
Navigation and obstacles
It navigates by LiDAR and avoids obstacles with none. No-go zones can be drawn in the app.
The dock
There is no self-emptying dock: the bin is emptied by hand.
