Our verdict

The D20 Air Plus is the cheapest self-emptying robot in this catalogue and the smallest: 325 mm across, 94.7 mm tall and 2.59 kg. Its dock takes the bin into a 4 litre bag for about 120 days, which is longer than most flagship docks claim, and the robot behind it is better specified than €199 suggests: 20,000 Pa with a boost on carpet, a rubber-bristle brush with anti-tangle combs and a tangle-free side brush, a LiDAR that stores four floors and draws them in 3D, and a 3,200 mAh battery good for 150 minutes and 140 m² in quiet mode. The mop is a flat pad fed by a 280 ml sensor tank, with no lift, and the page names no obstacle sensor beyond the LiDAR, so a cable on the floor is a cable in the brush. Voice control is by third-party assistants. At €199 in Germany or $269.99 in America it is the budget pick for a tidy flat that hates emptying bins.
