Our verdict

The i205 AWD is the cheapest way into a Navimow that needs no antenna. Positioning is network RTK over the bundled cellular link, fused with a 140° camera that also does the obstacle work, and the third wheel is driven and steers a zero-turn pivot, which is what Segway means by AWD here. For a flat 500 m² lawn that is more than enough; the honest limits are the 180 mm deck, an hour of mowing per hour of charging, manual height adjustment and a 45% slope rating. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and cellular are all built in, PIN lock and GPS tracking are standard, and the mower and station carry three years of warranty, the battery two. After the first year the cellular plan costs €29.90 a year — a line item the spec sheet buries.

Pros

  • Network RTK with no antenna — the i-series' setup headache, gone
  • Three driven wheels with zero-turn steering
  • PIN lock, GPS tracking, lift and boundary alarms as standard
  • Three-year warranty on the mower and station
  • €899 with network RTK access included

Cons

  • 180 mm deck and 125 m² per charge: an hour on, an hour off
  • Manual cutting-height adjustment
  • 45% slope rating — a flat-lawn machine
  • Cellular plan costs €29.90 a year after the first year

Best for

  • Flat lawns up to 500 m² with a clear view of the sky
  • A first robot mower where budget decides

Not recommended for

  • Steep or terraced gardens
  • Lawns under heavy tree cover — there is no LiDAR to fall back on
