Our verdict
The S8 MaxV Ultra was Roborock's flagship before Saros, and its dock is still the most complete of its generation: 60 °C mop washing, warm air from two channels, a self-cleaning base, refilling, detergent dosing and seven weeks of dust, plus dirt detection that extends the wash and re-mops stubborn spots. It vacuums at 10,000 Pa with DuoRoller twin rubber rollers, mops with the VibraRise 3.0 sonic pad and a lifting 185 rpm edge mop, extends the FlexiArm side brush into corners, lifts brush and mop for carpet, boosts when its ultrasound finds a rug, recognises 73 object types by RGB camera and 3D structured light, and stops the brush for pets. Roborock gives no runtime for the 5,200 mAh battery, no bin, weight, noise, threshold, map count or warranty term. Sold out in Germany, it is a Polish buy for the dock, not the suction figure.

In detail
Suction and brushes
The manufacturer rates the suction at 10,000 Pa. That is less than most of the 114 robot vacuums we list. The main brush is the twin rubber type, with one side brush. On carpet the suction rises automatically.
Mopping
Mop system: vibrating pad. It lifts the mop over carpet.
Navigation and obstacles
It navigates by LiDAR and avoids obstacles with camera + depth sensor. No-go zones can be drawn in the app. It recognises pet waste and steers round it.
The dock
The dock empties the bin, washes and dries the mop and refills the water tank. The dust bag lasts about 49 days.
Battery, charging and noise
The manufacturer publishes neither a runtime nor a noise figure.
