Dreame L50 Pro Ultra review
A retracting-turret L-series machine: 19,500 Pa, dual anti-tangle brushes, camera plus 3D structured light, pads that lift, extend and detach, a 75 °C wash and 230 minutes on a charge, 89.5 mm tall.

Our verdict
The L50 Pro Ultra is the point where Dreame's mid-range gets the flagship's body: the VersaLift turret drops into the shell for 89.5 mm under furniture and rises to 111.5 mm to map, and the pads lift 10.5 mm, extend to the edge and stay at the dock when the floor is carpet. Vacuuming is 19,500 Pa through the two-roller HyperStream brush, and the front end pairs an RGB camera with 3D structured light to recognise more than 180 object types, people and pets included. The dock does everything the L-series dock does: a 75 °C wash in four steps, hot-air drying, detergent, refills from 4.5 litre tanks and 100 days of dust, with a plumbing kit as an option. The 6,400 mAh battery runs 230 minutes at the quiet setting. The catch is the sill: 22 mm for a single step, 40 mm only across two steps with a gap between them, so it is not one of the 4 cm climbers despite the EasyLeap name. Dreame's Polish shop had sold out of it on the day we read the page; do not confuse it with the L50s Pro Ultra, a different machine with a fixed turret and 30,000 Pa.
Pros

- Camera plus 3D structured light, people and pets recognised
- Pads lift, extend and detach; 75 °C wash and 100 days of dust

Cons
- 22 mm single-step threshold; the 40 mm figure needs two steps
- 19,500 Pa, well under the flagships
- Plumbing kit costs extra
- No noise, charging time or map count published
Best for
- Flats with low sofas and beds where 89.5 mm decides coverage

In detail
Suction and brushes
The manufacturer rates the suction at 19,500 Pa. That is about the middle of the field. The main brush is the tangle-resistant type, with one side brush. The onboard bin holds 395 ml.
Mopping
Mop system: twin spinning pads. For carpet runs it leaves the mop at the dock. The mop swings out to reach along walls.
Navigation and obstacles
It navigates by retracting LiDAR and avoids obstacles with camera + depth sensor. It climbs thresholds up to 22 mm. That is less than most of the 48 robot vacuums with a published figure. No-go zones can be drawn in the app. It recognises pet waste and steers round it.
The dock
The dock empties the bin, washes and dries the mop and refills the water tank. The dust bag lasts about 100 days.
Battery, charging and noise
One charge runs up to 3 h 50 min. The manufacturer publishes no noise figure.
