Our verdict

At €399 on the German shop, down from a printed €899, the Freo Z10 Pro undercuts Narwal's Freo Z10 Ultra by €200 and gives up less than the price suggests. Suction is 18,500 Pa, against the X10 Pro's 11,000 at the same list price, through the DualFlow anti-tangle roller and an extending side brush, the two Reuleaux triangle mops press at 12 N and spin at 180 rpm, swing out to edges and corners, and lift 12 mm when CarpetFocus lowers the brush cover to concentrate the airflow on carpet. A LiDAR maps the home and two 3D structured-light sensors recognise more than 100 object types, where the Ultra uses two cameras. The dock washes the mops with water between 45 and 75 °C chosen by its own sensors, doses the detergent, dries at 40 °C, cleans itself after every wash and stores dust in a 2.5-litre bag for 120 days, and DirtSense reads the dirt level and adjusts the wash. What Narwal does not print is the rest of the datasheet: no battery, runtime, size, weight, threshold height, map count or warranty term, and no voice control claim; the only noise figure is under 56 dB in the quiet mode. For a household that wants the washing dock and the edge mopping without the Ultra's cameras, it is the better of Narwal's two €399 machines.
