Our verdict
The Rover X10 does the most of any pool robot in this catalogue and, at €999 down from €2,499, no longer costs the most. Seven areas are on its list: the surface, the floor, the walls, the waterline, corners, steps and shallow zones, with two side brushes and extended front and rear brushes for the waterline. Four turbine motors in the FloatDrive system move it up and down the walls and hold it steady on steps, the pump is rated at 38,000 l/h, and the 5 l basket carries a 180 μm filter with a 3 μm ultrafine stage behind it. It maps the pool with an underwater laser distance sensor and plans its route from that map, watches for dirt with an AI sensor and slows where it finds it, and covers up to 500 m². The 15,000 mAh battery runs six hours on the floor or twelve on the surface, it parks at the surface or at a spot you choose so you never wade in for it, and it charges on a wireless dock. Live app control needs the AquaSonar float, which relays Wi-Fi to an ultrasonic link under water. MOVA publishes no charging time, no slope rating and no ingress rating, it weighs 15.8 kg, so lifting it out is a two-hand job, and the three-year warranty is the longest here.
