Our verdict
The Z1 Pro is the cheapest robot in this catalogue that climbs walls and cleans the waterline, and the pump behind it is rated at 8,000 GPH, about 30,300 l/h, which only MOVA's Rover X10 beats. Two pump motors and dual brushes do the scrubbing, the waterline is worked horizontally, and Dreame's own FAQ says the Pro adds tanning ledges to the Z1's list. It senses the pool with ultrasound and 3D structured light to map its shape and steer round steps and drains, runs more than 180 minutes on a charge and recharges on a magnetic charger in four to six hours. When it finishes it parks at the waterline or comes to the edge on one tap, and the Pro's LiFi handheld remote reaches it under water, where Wi-Fi apps go silent. Dreame publishes no basket volume, weight, dimensions, ingress rating or warranty term, and the 180 μm filter is coarser than Beatbot's 150. At $429, currently below the plain Z1, it is the pool robot to buy on a budget.
