Our verdict
The Saros Z70 sits on the Saros 10R's platform, AdaptiLift chassis, FlexiArm side brush and liftable FlexiArm mop included, and adds the one thing no other robot in this catalogue has: a folding five-axis OmniGrip arm that picks up a sock, a slipper, a tissue or a small toy and sets it down where you chose in the app. The rest of the sheet is strong. StarSight sensing needs no turret, so the body is 80 mm tall; the twin spinning mops lift, and for carpet they come off entirely while the chassis rises and suction boosts; the dock empties the bin, washes the mops at 80 °C and dries them. Roborock prints no threshold height and no bin or tank capacity, the battery is 6,400 mAh, and the dock does not refill the tank. The arm also costs suction: 22,000 Pa against the Saros 20's 36,000, at a higher price. On a floor that is already clear it buys you nothing.

Suction and brushes
The manufacturer rates the suction at 22,000 Pa. That is about the middle of the field. The main brush is the tangle-resistant type, with one side brush. On carpet the suction rises automatically.
Mopping
Mop system: twin spinning pads. For carpet runs it leaves the mop at the dock. The mop swings out to reach along walls.
Navigation and obstacles
It navigates by solid-state 3D ToF + camera and avoids obstacles with camera + depth sensor. No-go zones can be drawn in the app.
The dock
The dock empties the bin and washes and dries the mop.
Battery, charging and noise
