Our verdict
The Curv S5X keeps the turret the Saros line does away with: it maps with a conventional spinning LiDAR and stands 98 mm tall, so the lowest sofas are out of reach. In return it costs well under half of a Saros 20 and does the jobs that matter. The dock empties the bin for up to seven weeks, washes the mops at 75 °C and dries them with warm air; the twin spinning pads lift over carpet, where Carpet Boost+ raises the suction and adds a cross-pattern second pass; and the DuoDivide bristle brush works with a FlexiArm arc side brush that reaches into corners. Obstacles are sensed by structured light, not a camera, so a chair leg registers but a cable or pet waste is not recognised as such. Roborock publishes no mop lift height and no bin or tank capacity, the dock does not refill the tank, and there is no voice control. For mostly clear floors under ordinary furniture, this is the Roborock to buy.

Suction and brushes
The manufacturer rates the suction at 18,500 Pa. That is less than most of the 111 robot vacuums we list. The main brush is the tangle-resistant type, with one side brush. On carpet the suction rises automatically.
Mopping
Mop system: twin spinning pads. It lifts the mop over carpet. The mop swings out to reach along walls.
Navigation and obstacles
It navigates by LiDAR and avoids obstacles with structured light. No-go zones can be drawn in the app.
The dock
The dock empties the bin and washes and dries the mop. The dust bag lasts about 49 days.
