Our verdict
The V70 Ultra Complete X is the V70 Ultra Complete with the reach and the climbing turned up. The mops still swing out 16 cm on MaxiReachX arms, press down at 15 N and now spin at 300 rpm, but the side brush extends 12 cm of its own accord and slides under furniture from 3.8 cm high, and the chassis takes 5 cm single steps and 9 cm double ones where the V70 stopped at 5. It vacuums at 40,000 Pa through the TurboWave DuoBrush, lifts the mops 10.5 mm or drops them for carpet its ultrasonic sensor recognises, boosts suction on rugs, retracts its DToF turret to 88 mm, recognises more than 300 obstacle types plus pets and their accidents, and lets you define objects and safe distances in the app. The station is MOVA's bagless EcoCyclone design that empties and dries the bin, washes the pads on a 100 °C angled JetSpray board, dries them in an hour at 70 °C and doses two solutions from a 4 l tank. MOVA publishes no runtime, weight, bin size or noise, and no voice control; the warranty is three years. At €1,399 it carries the V70 Ultra Complete's list price while doing more, so the one to buy is whichever of the two is discounted on the day.
