Our verdict
The Freo 20 Edge is the Freo 20 with the cameras taken out and the price taken down. Navigation is a rear-mounted dToF LiDAR and obstacles are read by 3D structured light, so no lens is named anywhere, which puts it on the camera-free list, and the trade is recognition: it cannot tell a sock from a spill. The mop is Narwal's TrackMop, a flat roller pressed at 12 N and rinsed on the move by 16 nozzles with scraping and dirty-water extraction, swung out to a stated 0 mm gap at edges; the European page says it lifts the Track Mop up to 12 mm over carpet, and the American page's carpet tiles add a 0.4 in lift and a retractable pressure plate that the German page does not mention. 31,000 Pa sits behind the DualFlow anti-tangle pair. The dock washes the mop, dries it at 45 °C, cleans its dirty tank and holds dust in a 2.5 l bag for 120 days, but no wash temperature or tank refill is claimed. Narwal prints 59 dB and 352 × 364 × 95 mm and leaves out the battery, runtime, bin, tank, weight, threshold, map count and warranty term. Germany, the European shop and America sell it.
