Our verdict
Unlike the A1600 and A3000, which find their way by LiDAR and camera without satellites, the GOAT O800 RTK positions by RTK from a reference station in the box. A forward 3D ToF sensor that Ecovacs calls a LiDAR and an AI camera help it along, and Ecovacs promises 2 cm accuracy. The same sensors guide TruEdge, which mows with the blades right to the edge and simply carries on over edges it can cross, and steer it round 200+ obstacle types, hedgehogs included. It cuts 22 cm wide at 3 to 8 cm in 0.5 cm steps, at 140 to 180 m² an hour, rated for 800 m², and it climbs 45% and crosses 3 cm. A rain sensor sends it home, a PIN locks it, it is sealed to IPX6, and Ecovacs Europe gives three years on the mower. Ecovacs' own documents disagree on its weight, noise and charging time, so those fields stay blank, and no runtime or 4G is listed.
Pros
- RTK from a reference station, helped by a 3D ToF LiDAR and an AI camera, for 2 cm accuracy

- Needs a reference station on a pole in an open spot, cabled to the power supply
- Ecovacs' documents give two weights, two noise ratings and two charging times
- No runtime published and no 4G
- Two-wheel drive and 45% slopes
Best for
- Lawns up to 800 m² split into areas by narrow paths
- Gardens visited by hedgehogs: it recognises them and pauses at night by default

In detail
Lawn and terrain
The manufacturer rates it for lawns up to 800 m². That is less than most of the 52 robot mowers we list. It climbs slopes up to 45% (24°). That is less than most of the 52 robot mowers we list. It can manage several zones. Two wheels are driven.
Navigation
It positions itself with RTK-GNSS + vision + LiDAR. No boundary wire is needed. Obstacles: 3D time-of-flight.
Cutting
The cutting width is 220 mm and the height adjusts from 30 to 80 mm. It cuts with 3 blades. It trims along the edges.
Battery, charging and noise
The battery holds 72 Wh. The manufacturer publishes neither a runtime nor a noise figure.
Safety and theft
It stops the blades when lifted or tilted, returns to the dock in rain and locks with a PIN. Weather sealing: IPX6.

Where to buy
Prices are read every night from the manufacturers' shops that list the machine, and shown as read. A price no read has confirmed for several days is marked with the day it was last seen. Where a week or more of readings exists, the lowest we recorded in the last 30 days is stated as well. RoboVerdict may earn a commission when you buy through links on our site.
