Our verdict
The i220 stretches the i2 LiDAR to 2,000 m² with a 10 Ah battery: 560 m² and 210 minutes a charge, 120 minutes to recharge, and by Segway's arithmetic eighteen and a half hours for the lawn, because the 22 cm disc covers only 160 m² an hour. The platform is what makes the i2 LiDAR worth having where a satellite mower cannot see: LiDAR and camera positioning with no antenna, wire or sky view, automatic mapping, EdgeSense ride-on edge cutting, 200+ recognised obstacles at 1 cm, twenty zones, a 3 cm step, GPS tracking, a PIN, a colour screen, 59 dB, IP66 and a three-year warranty. The price asks a question, though: Segway lists it at the i210 LiDAR Pro's price, and the Pro adds network RTK, three-wheel drive and a 55% slope rating for 1,000 m². Take the i220 for area and trees, the Pro for slope.

Navigation
It positions itself with Vision + LiDAR. No boundary wire is needed. Obstacles: camera + LiDAR fusion. GPS tracking and a 4G module are built in.
Cutting
The cutting width is 220 mm and the height adjusts from 20 to 70 mm. It cuts with 6 blades. It trims along the edges.
Battery, charging and noise
One charge runs up to 3 h 30 min. A full charge takes about 2 h. The manufacturer states 59 dB. That is about the middle of the field.
