Our verdict
The GOAT A1600 LiDAR PRO is the smaller of Ecovacs' two trimmer mowers. It finds its way with HoloScope 360, a rotating LiDAR, a 3D ToF LiDAR at the front and an AI camera, with no boundary wire, antenna or RTK, and Ecovacs promises 2 cm precision even in the dark. Its party trick is the TruEdge trimmer, an 18 cm line head beside the deck that cuts to about 0 mm at walls and fences, so the strimmer can stay in the shed. Two blade discs cut 33 cm wide at 3 to 9 cm, set in the app, at up to 400 m² an hour; it climbs 50% and crosses 4 cm. The 3 Ah battery recharges in 50 minutes, the 17.8 kg mower is sealed to IPX6, and Ecovacs Europe gives three years on it. There is no runtime, 4G needs an extra module, and the manual asks for slopes over 45% to be fenced off.
Pros
- Built-in TruEdge trimmer that cuts to about 0 mm at walls and fences

Prices are read every night from the manufacturers' shops that list the machine, and shown as read. A price no read has confirmed for several days is marked with the day it was last seen. Where a week or more of readings exists, the lowest we recorded in the last 30 days is stated as well. RoboVerdict may earn a commission when you buy through links on our site.
