Our verdict
The M5 LiDAR navigates without satellites. A 360° rotating LiDAR builds a 3D map of the garden and places the mower to the centimetre, and two 150° HDR cameras watch for low obstacles and, by Anthbot's count, recognise more than 1,000 of them. Needing no satellites, it keeps working under trees and a trampoline, and its station can stand in a shed. There is no RTK station or wire to install: Anthbot says it is ready three minutes out of the box and maps 500 m² at one tap, but automatic mapping wants clear boundaries and an enclosed lawn. The rest matches the M5: a 20 cm five-blade disc at 3 to 7 cm set in the app, edge mowing, 45% slopes (15% along the boundary), 65 cm passages, 20 zones, 40 minutes a charge and an hour to recharge, at 10 kg. The manual declares 60 dB(A) where the pages say 58 dB, and the warranty is three years, two on the battery.

The cutting width is 200 mm and the height adjusts from 30 to 70 mm. It cuts with 5 blades. It trims along the edges.
Battery, charging and noise
The 45 Wh battery runs up to 40 min on one charge. A full charge takes about 1 h. The manufacturer states 58 dB. That is about the middle of the field.

Where to buy
Prices are read every night from the manufacturers' shops that list the machine, and shown as read. A price no read has confirmed for several days is marked with the day it was last seen. Where a week or more of readings exists, the lowest we recorded in the last 30 days is stated as well. RoboVerdict may earn a commission when you buy through links on our site.
