Our verdict

The ViAX 250 is the cheapest mower in this catalogue and it is honest about how it gets there. Two HDR colour cameras do all the seeing: they map the garden, recognise more than 300 object types and set the boundary with the remote in the app, with no LiDAR, no RTK antenna and no wire. It cuts 20 cm wide at a height you set by hand between 2 and 6 cm, climbs 40% on a front-drive layout with one castor, steps over 4 cm and fits 60 cm gaps, and it manages two maps and multiple zones. The 2.5 Ah battery mows 50 minutes, about 60 m² an hour or 90 in the efficient mode, and recharges in 45 minutes, at under 57 dB. MOVA gives no dimensions, weight or ingress rating, the 4G module is an optional extra and there is no GPS tracking without it. For a small, simple lawn with clear edges it does the job for €479.
