Our verdict
Only MOVA's own ViAX 500 puts a LiDAR on a lawn for less than the LiDAX Ultra 800, and the LiDAX is the one with the full sheet. A 3D LiDAR with 70 m of range and a camera map the garden without an antenna or a wire, recognise more than 300 obstacle types, and keep the disc under 5 cm from the edge. It cuts 20 cm wide between 3 and 10 cm, climbs 45% on rear-wheel drive, steps over 4 cm and squeezes through 60 cm gaps, with two maps and up to 150 zones in the app. The 4 Ah battery runs 60 to 80 minutes for 160 to 180 m² and charges in an hour, it stays under 57 dB, it is sealed to IPX6 and it weighs 13.7 kg. The 4G link module is a paid extra on this size, there is no rain sensor in the table, and MOVA's own footnote makes the point that Frost & Sullivan rank LiDAX first by LiDAR-mower volume. At €699 in Germany, reduced from €949, it is €150 under Dreame's A2 1200 for a smaller rating.
