LiDAX Ultra 1200

The LiDAX Ultra rated for 1,200 m²: the same 360-degree LiDAR and camera, 20 cm cut, 45% slopes and 57 dB, with 170 to 190 m² a charge, for €799.

Our verdict

The LiDAX Ultra 1200 is the 800 with a larger mapping allowance and, by MOVA's table, ten more square metres per charge; the battery is the same 4 Ah, the runtime the same 60 to 80 minutes and the charge the same hour. That makes it a mower that will cover 1,200 m² in several sessions rather than one, which is how most robots work anyway. Everything else carries over: 70 m LiDAR with a camera, 300 obstacle types, edges under 5 cm, 3 to 10 cm cutting height on a 20 cm disc, 45% slopes, 4 cm obstacles, 60 cm passages, two maps and 150 zones, 57 dB, IPX6 and 13.8 kg. The 4G module is still an extra and there is still no rain sensor in the table. At €799 in Germany or 4,099 zł in Poland the €100 over the 800 buys only the rating.

Pros

  • 3D LiDAR and a camera, no antenna, no wire
  • Edges under 5 cm, 300 obstacle types
  • Under 57 dB, 13.8 kg, IPX6
  • 1,200 m² rating for €799

Cons

  • Same 4 Ah battery and 60 to 80 minutes as the 800
  • 20 cm cut, 45% slopes
  • 4G module costs extra
  • No rain sensor listed

Best for

  • Gardens of 800 to 1,200 m² with obstacles that defeat RTK
  • Buyers who want the LiDAX at the mid price

Not recommended for

  • Owners who want the lawn done in one session
  • Slopes above 45%
