LUBA mini AWD 800
The all-wheel-drive slope capability of the LUBA line in a smaller body sized for gardens up to 800 m².
Review method: Specification analysis
Our verdict
A rare combination: serious slope capability on a small-garden budget. The 600 mm passage width also makes it one of the few wire-free machines that will actually get down a side path. The narrow 220 mm deck means more passes to cover the same ground, which matters less on 800 m² than it would on a large plot.
Pros
- Same 80% slope rating and all-wheel drive as the full-size LUBA
- Fits through 600 mm passages — unusual among wire-free mowers
- No boundary wire to lay
- Considerably cheaper than the large-format machines
Cons
- 220 mm deck needs many more passes than a 400 mm machine
- Still requires an RTK antenna with clear sky view
- No edge cutting
- No cellular connection — tracking depends on home Wi-Fi range
Best for
- Small but steep or terraced gardens
- Plots with narrow access between sections
- Buyers who want wire-free setup without a flagship budget
Not recommended for
- Lawns approaching or above 1,000 m²
- Owners who need the mower to report in over mobile data
